July 1st, 2012 marks a special day for Hong Kong and whole Hong Kong is busy to celebrate the 15th Anniversary of the Reunification. Visitors and locals alike can enjoy a vast majority of special activities ranging from dragon dance performances, dragon boat races, International Military Tattoo to the impressive and spectacular fireworks display.

The year 2012 is also a special year for Tai Po and its Tai Wo Market. This year marks the 120th Anniversary of the establishment of the Tai Wo Market in Tai Po. In order to celebrate this special event local streets will be turned into a stage and visitors can enjoy and experience spectacular dragon and lion dance performances as well as a Grand Parade with floats. Take this unique opportunity to explore and experience one of Hong Kong’s lesser known areas Tai Po and share the joy with locals and residents. In case you would like to join, be advised that there are special transport arrangements to and from Tai Po. Like any special event such as fireworks, National Day, parades be prepared for large crowds.

When and where does the special event to celebrate the 120th Anniversary of the establishment of the Tai Wo Market and the Grand Parade take place? On July 1st, 2012 at Tai Po Sports Ground and major roads in the district. The Grand Parade to celebrate the 120th Anniversary is scheduled between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm this day.
