If you miss the 2012 Dragon Boat Races of Tuen Ng Festival, don’t worry, you will get more chances to experience this special Chinese-traditional event.

Hong Kong Dragon Boat Carnival
This special event will be held at East Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade on the 2nd and 4th-8th of July 2012.
2012 International Dragon Boat Races
On the 2nd of July is the International Dragon Boat Races, which has already 36 year history. Paddlers from 12 countries will participate in this legendary event.

Lee Kum Kee 8th IDBF Club Crew World Championships
On 4th to 8th of July is the Lee Kum Kee 8th IDBF Club Crew World Championships. Over 4000 of the world’s top dragon boat paddlers from over 20 countries will gather here to compete for glory.

2012 San Miguel BeerFest
Apart from the intense competition, you also can join the party of “San Miguel BeerFest” right next to the racing and enjoy the free cold beer in this hot summer and soak yourself in the exciting atmosphere on the carnival.
Venue: UC Centenary Garden, East Tsim Sha Tsui
Date: 2nd and 6th-8th of July, noon-9:30pm

Other Highlights:
On last year carnival (Read more about “2011 Hong Kong Dragon Boat Carnival“), there was a 3D painting of the giant dragon “Leaping Dragon” exhibited in the Ocean Terminal of Harbour City. This year, you will have chance to have fun with Hong Kong’s famous celebrities “McDull and his friends”. There will be three life-size dragon boats in Ocean Terminal Forecourt of Harbour City, on one of which you can meet the cute McDull and his friends.

Competing with last year “Celebrities Bathtub Races”, this year’s special race is the “Costume Races” that paddlers will dress up in designed costume and boost the excitement of the competition.
