Hong Kong’s iconic Peak Tram will temporarily suspend its service for a week in March. Maintenance and haulage rope replacement will be carried out between March 17 and March 21, 2014.

Visitors who would like to travel up to The Peak during the suspension period can either take up Bus No. 15 from the central Piers, Green Mini Bus No. 1 or alternatively a taxi (please read our related article about How to get to The Peak). Please note that the Bus Route 15C between Central Ferry Piers and the Peak Tram Lower Terminus will also be suspended during this maintenance period.

The attractions, shops and restaurants such as the Peak Tower and Sky 428 Terrace remain open as usual.

In case there are no unexpected occurrences during the annual maintenance work The Peak Tram should resume its service at 7am on Saturday March 22nd, 2014.
