Hong Kong Beard Papa’s launched a special Hello Kitty Merry Christmas & Happy New Year series of their most popular sweets and desserts for the upcoming holiday season.

The Japanese dessert store Beard Papa is known for its fresh and natural puffs, rings, éclairs and French styled crullers filled with a delicious pudding style cream.

There was a time that some of their stores in MTR stations were replaced by their competitor Choux Creme, who is selling almost exactly the same products. You hardly could find Beard PaPa easily in Hong Kong. Luckily in the past two years they opened more stores which are located in the shopping malls and we have change again to taste their delicious puffs.

There are three limited sweets : mini puffs, chocolate-coated puffs and chocolate-coated rings. Each of them has two flavors and decorated with Hello Kitty’s iconic bow.

Each of the limited editions are available in two flavors: the standard custard and the limited edition strawberry cream. Each dessert is covered and coated by delicious and tasty chocolate and have a little red ribbon representing Hello Kitty. The red ribbon is actual strawberry flavored chocolate, which is very delicious.

As a big fan of Beard Papa creamy puffs, I couldn’t resist and had to try one of the special limited edition Hello Kitty Merry Christmas & Happy New Year puffs.

The puffs and rings are packed in a special Hello Kitty wrapper and – in case you take it away – will get an extra designed Beard Papa’s x Hello Kitty paper bag.

How Much Are Beard Papa’s x Hello Kitty Merry Christmas & Happy New Year Sweets ?

Since this is special collaboration with Sanrio you need to prepare to pay a little bit extra for the special edition desserts (roughly HK$ 5 more than the average puff or ring).

The chocolate puffs are available for HK$ 23 (filled with custard) and HK$ 26 (for the strawberry flavor).

The French cruller styled Hello Kitty rings are priced at HK$ 25 (filled with custard) and HK$ 28 (for the strawberry flavor).

Beard Papa’s also launched a series with Hello Kitty mini puffs. A box of six Hello Kitty mini puffs can be purchased for HK$ 55 (filled with custard) and HK$ 60 (for the strawberry flavor).

Last but not least, there is also a Happy Set available. The special Hello Kitty Happy Set includes 2 rings and 4 puffs priced at HK$ 135 (for the custard filling) and HK$ 150 (for the strawberry one).
