Hello Kitty fans get ready for another highlight this year. Aside from the current themed Christmas exhibition at the Langham Place shopping mall , the popular convenience store chain 7-Eleven launches a special edition of collectable Hello Kitty toys to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Hello Kitty called “Hello Kitty – Hello Party”.
Starting from December 4th, 2013 the convenience store chain 7-Eleven Hong Kong will launch 30 special collectable toy editions of Hello Kitty and her friends. Similar to last year’s “Hello Kitty & Friends Sweet Delight” edition, this year’s edition has a special theme. In order to celebrate Hello Kitty’s 40th Anniversary, Hello Kitty and her friends are dressed up as popular fairy tale characters and aristocrats such as Hello Kitty as princess, Dear Daniel as prince, Bad Badtz-maru as Pharaoh, Patty & Jimmy as royal guards or Kerokerokeroppi as bishop.
Like last year, Hello Kitty fans have to redeem and collect special bonus stickers. Every HK$ 20 purchase in one of the 7-Eleven stores will get you one bonus. In order to redeem one of the Hello Kitty 40th Anniversary “Hello Party” toy figures customers need 16 stickers or 6 stickers plus HK$ 20 to redeem one Hello Kitty toy. As usual, Hello Kitty fans won’t have a chance to choose their favorite toy or character since all figurines are pre-packed and given out randomly.
The first 12 Hello Kitty 40th Anniversary “Hello Party” toy figures are available from December 4th , 2013 onwards. Starting from January 15th, 2014 7-Eleven will launch another 12 special edition Hello Kitty 40th Anniversary “Hello Party” toy figures. Similar to last year’s promotion, 7-Eleven will launch 2 additional Hello Kitty figures each time for Christmas, Chinese New Year and Valentine’s Day.
