Gold Coast Piazza is not a shopping mall in the classical sense, but we still would like to introduce this unique combination of outdoor dining, shopping, street art and culture to you. It is more a combination of pleasure and enjoyment due to its location on the waterfront of the Castle Peak Bay. Gold Coast Piazza features a European-style decor and offers with its design a glimpse of the Mediterranean.

Close-by is the so-called Gold Coast Montmartre which is some kind of unique attraction. The Gold Coast Montmartre is located along the waterfront of the Gold Coast Pizza at the Art Promenade. About 80 small shops, exhibits and kiosks showcase arts, crafts and knick-knacks. Products range from paintings, accessories, ornaments to potteries. This unique street-arts-and-culture phenomenon opens only during the weekends. Visitors can enjoy this attraction every Friday and Saturday from 12:00 am till 11:00 pm. On Sundays and Public Holidays the stalls and shops open around 10:00 am till 10:00 pm.

However, Gold Coast Piazza is not really famous for its shopping options. Quite frankly speaking, Gold Coast Piazza received some fame for its dining options paired with the romantic seaside settings (and became recently popular among young couples to shot wedding pictures or go on a romantic date). Especially, if you love alfresco dining you should have a closer look since Gold Coast Piazza is still a true (!) insider tip for its seaside alfresco dining food outlets. Guests can enjoy and select from a great variety of international cuisines including Chinese, French, Italian, Thai and Japanese.

For “nearby” attractions please refer to the tmtplaza shopping mall overview. Close by Gold Coast Piazza is the Gold Coast Dolphin square. The Gold Coast Dolphin square is the home of a 9 meter high golden sculpture of three white Chinese dolphins.

One last piece of advice: Similar to the tmtplaza shopping mall is Gold Coast Piazza far off the normal tourists hot spots. Unless you book a hotel at the Gold Coast and/or a crazy watersports fan we would not recommend traveling this far, especially if you are a first time visitor to Hong Kong and/or just a few days in town. There are plenty of good alternatives in the TST, Central, Wanchai and Causeway Bay area – be it for shopping or dining.
