The AIA – The Great European Carnival is back in town again. Theis Hong Kong’s European style carnival will last for 3 months. You can enjoy this Hong Kong’s most popular events from December 17, 2015 till February 21, 2016.
The event is held in its second year. It seems that last year’s event was a full success. Over 830,000 visitors enjoyed the 70 different types of rides, games and food booths. Most of the rides are directly shipped from Europe (Germany, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Holland or Belgium). Many of them are shown outside of Europe for the first time.
Rides and Games
This year, the carnival steps up more games, bigger rides, and newer attractions. New rides are opened weekly and some highlights include the Booster Maxx ride, Dodgems, historic Carousel, A Pony Adventure or Hong Kong’s biggest outdoor ice rink. You like the games more? Then check out the latest additions such as Basketball Extreme, Big Mouth, Bowling, Can Blaster, Can Smash, Catch a Fish, Circle Darts, Fried Frogs, Goblets, Hot Shots and many more.
The Udderbelly Festival
If that is not enough: this year’s carnival teamed up with Udderbelly Festival making it to one giant outdoor event. The Udderbelly Festival hosts several events and festivals throughout the UK. It is the first time that the Udderbelly Festival is now held in Hong Kong. The mascot of the Udderbelly festival, the Giant Purple Cow Violet, is already visible from far. Hosting over 200 live shows, you can be assured that the festival stage will have some entertainment for everyone. There will be plenty of local and international music acts as well as comedy performers, theatrical performances and family entertainment.
So are you ready for some fun and the carnival like atmosphere? Interested in thrilling rides, crazy performers and entertainers, exciting games? Wanna try some delicious food from around the world? There will be a Bavarian beer garden, Chinese delights, British styled hamburgers and hot dogs, waffles, crepes, churros. Oh, don’t forget carnival all-time favorite candy, popcorn, lollipops and candy floss.
How much are the entrance tickets and where to purchase the tickets ?
Ticket prices remain unchanged from last year’s event. Adult Tickets are priced at HK$ 125 (including 10 tokens). Children (aged 3 – 11), seniors (aged 65+) and disabled can purchase discounted tickets for HK$ 90 (including 7 tokens).
