The annual Hong Kong International Film Festival (HKIFF) is coming up. Going into its 37th edition, the Hong Kong International Film Festival is THE (!) event for movie and film lovers. From March 17 to April 2, 2013, Hong Kong will host one of most reputable platforms for movie-goers globally to enjoy a diversity of new movie releases as well as old classics. Aside from film premieres, exhibitions and seminars the Hong Kong International Film Festival is also known as a lifestyle event including parties and special events.

Highlights of the 37th Hong Kong International Film Festival include the FOREVER CLASSIC event which showcases eight digitally restored all time classic of cinema (including “The Cloud Capped Star”, “Lawrence of Arabia”, “Heaven’s Gate” and “Shoah”), showcases of the 63rd Berlinale winners and Oscar nominees and last but not least the Master Class seminar with one of the most famous and celebrated filmmakers of our time Wong Kar Wai on March 21st, 2013.

The 37th Hong Kong International Film Festival will kick-off with the world premiere of director Herman YAU’s “IP MAN – The Final” starring Anthony Wong, Eric Tsang, Gilian Chung, Anita Yuen, Jordan Chan and Marvel Chow. For the festival close the 37th HKIFF chose to show the winner of the Sliver Bear for Best Script at the Berlin Film Festival “Closed Curtain”.
