Hong Kong Michelin Star Restaurants 2013

Michelin Guide is one of the best-known guides for travel, tourism, especially food. In 2011-2013, there are many restaurants and hotels of Hong Kong are included.

We classify all the restaurants according to their locations, average spending as well as the food styles. On the list, most are Chinese or Guangdong food restaurant. But you also will find western food (French and Italian food), Indian food, as well as Japanese food.

When mentioning Michelin Star Restaurants, the first question is always “How much is the cost? (shouldn’t be cheap ?). Actually, the average spending in Michelin Star Restaurants varies from lower than HK$ 40 to above HK$ 800.

But the food quality is not definitely relevant to food price. For instance, the three stars restaurant Lung King Heen only charges average HK$ 150-300. Most restaurants on the list are in Central, Causeway Bay and Tsim Sha Tsui areas, which are main attraction areas. If you travel to Hong Kong and plan to visit some attractions in these areas, you may consider also to try some good food with your comfortable price.

Basic Knowledge:

– One Star: it’s “a very good cuisine in its category”.
– Two Stars: it’s “excellent cuisine, worth a detour”.
– Three Stars: this restaurant offers “exceptional cuisine, worth a special journey.”
