The Hong Kong Science Museum is just adjacent to the Hong Kong Museum of History. It opened in 1991 and covers a wide range of science and technology and in contrast to traditional museums, the Hong Kong Science Museum encourages its visitors to actively participate, explore and experience the exhibitions. Especially for kids this is a great learning and fun opportunity.

On a 6500 square meter area, Hong Kong Science Museum permanently hosts over 500 different exhibits including robotics, transportation, biology, evolution and so on, most of which are interactive. Best of all, there is a DC-3 airplane, a computer area, a car driving simulation and a 22m high twin-tower Energy machine which is considered the world largest device of its kind. Be re-assured that your kids will love this museum.

How to Get to Hong Kong Science Museum:

Take the East Railway or subway and get off in TST station/East TST station. Then take exit P2 and walk approx. 10 minutes along. Just follow the signs.

If you live close to Hung Hom, from Hung Hom East Railway station take exit D1 and walk Cheong Wan Road. Then walk along the Science Museum Road towards the Hong Kong Museum of History and Hong Kong Science Museum.
