Hong Kong has kicked-off its annual WinterFest celebration to celebrate Christmas and the festive holiday season 2013. From November 29, 2013 to January 1, 2014, Hong Kong will transform across the town to celebrate the festive holiday season. Due the unique blend of Western tradition and Eastern love to celebrate festivals this year’s WinterFest is one-of-a-kind.
Hong Kong’s most popular attractions, shopping malls as well as restaurants launched themed activities to celebrate Christmas 2013. Many of the iconic skyscrapers in Victoria Harbour put up special Christmas decorations along their facades and transform Asia’s world city into bright and buzzing WinterFest and Christmas atmosphere.

Popular attractions such as Hong Kong Disneyland, Ocean Park Hong Kong, Madame Tussauds Hong Kong, Ngong Ping 360 or the Sky 100 Observation Deck decorated and themed their attraction for Christmas and launched special promotions deals.
Shopping malls planned the whole year to get stunning and dazzling Christmas themed decorations inside their malls up while shoppers and diners will be indulged with special winter sales, festive foods and special offers and promotion activities.

Like previous years, Statue Square in Central will be the centre of festivities. This holiday season three contemporary dandelions sculptures called WISH are the centerpiece of this year’s WinterFest 2013 celebration. Constantly changing colours and soaring more than 15 meters in the air visitors can make a wish for their loved ones while enjoy the specially choreographed music installation. In addition, there will be a special opportunity to take pictures with Santa Clause at the American Express Wondrous Santa House just next to the WISH installation.
