ICC-100 SHKP Vertical Run For The Chest 2013

Hong Kong’s tallest building, the International Commerce Centre (ICC), is hosting another running event. The second edition of the “ICC 100 SHKP Vertical Run For The Chest 2013” event takes place on December 1, 2013. As the name already indicates, this event is not only about running but also about charity.

This special vertical running event is one of a kind. Professional and amateur runners love to participate in this special event. Are you ready to run the up the sky100? Around 2,120 steps need to be mastered before you can cross the finish line at the sky100 Hong Kong Observation Deck. Registration is open to team and individual runners.

For the first time, the “ICC 100 SHKP Vertical Run For The Chest 2013” introduces the “Fun Climb” Category. This category allows family and friends to experience the vertical run atmosphere in a more relaxed way. Rest areas are available on selected floors. You easily can take a break or catch your breath before continuing the way up. However, if you decide to register for “Fun Climb” Category, be aware that there is still a time limit. Therefore, you should be able to finish the 2,120 steps within a 1.5 hours time limit.

All races start on Level 8 and run-up to the sky100 Hong Kong Observation Deck as Finish Point.

Highlight of the “ICC 100 SHKP Vertical Run For The Chest 2013” is the Championship Ceremony of the 2013 Vertical World Circuit. This running event is the last stop of the 2013 Vertical World Circuit. Hence, you can be ensured to meet top international runners from around the world to compete for the grand final. The event at the ICC is the grand final of the 2013 Vertical World Circuit. The World Circuit covers eight races around the world including the Empire State Building in New York (USA), Messeturm (Switzerland), Taipei 101 (Taiwan), China World Trade Center (China), Landmark 72 (Vietnam) and Swissotel –The Stamford (Singapore).

The actual “Race to ICC-100 – SHKP Vertical Run For The Chest 2013” race starts around 9:00am on December 1, 2013 (Sunday). An opening ceremony takes place at 8:00am.
