One of Asia largest French Arts festivals – Le French May – will take place in Hong Kong and Macau from May 2 to June 28, 2014 and is celebrating French arts and culture with a wide selection of performances, exhibitions and film screenings.

The 22nd edition of the Le French May Festival will also mark the anniversary of diplomatic relations between the People’s Republic of China and France. Be prepared to celebrate this special anniversary with special programs not only highlighting the cultural crossovers between the two cultures, but also explore the similarities between China and France.

Le French May Festival 2014 will showcase the best of Franco-Chinese culture including the performances of the Nice Opera Ballet with “The Story of Marco Polo”, an exclusive exhibition of paintings by Chinese Masters who lived in France as well as several French movies featuring China.

In addition, to evolve the cultural exchange and understanding of these two cultures, this year’s Le French May festival event will particular focus on Lyon and the Rhone Valley. Highlight will be the “Le French GourMay” 2014 festival, which will take place from May 2 – 31, 2014. Visitors can enjoy wines and gastronomy food of the Rhone Valley, participate in special workshops including wine and cooking classes and find special food and wine promotions throughout Hong Kong’s supermarkets, department stores and specialty stores (e.g. YATA, City Super, Enoteca, etc.).
