One popular event in Macau is the annual “Macau International Fireworks Display Contest”.  World acclaimed fireworks companies participate in this spectacular event and transform Macau’s night sky in a magnificent atmosphere.

The 2012 “Macau International Fireworks Display Contest” is in its 24th year. The Contest has been grown over the years into an internationally acclaimed event.  Teams from around the world participate in one of the best events of its kind and are ready to light up the nights of Macau and the hearts of the spectators.

This year’s participating teams include acclaimed fireworks companies from Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, United States, Portugal, France, Japan, Australia, Italy and Mainland China.  In addition, the fireworks companies from France and Italy are making their debut performances at this year’s “Macau International Fireworks Display Contest”.  Furthermore, each fireworks team has been requested to complement it’s one-of-kind fireworks spectacle with additional sound and music. Visitors can enjoy the unique combination of music, sound and light best at the waterfront of the Macau Tower Outdoor Plaza, at the Macau Tower Street seaside as well at the square in front of the Kun lam Statue on Ave. Dr Sun Yat Sen.
