The MTR Corporation ends the year 2012 with another great promotion. Starting on New Year’s Eve (December 31st, 2012), passengers can enjoy a 10% discount for every two fare-deducting trips taken on the same mode of MTR service (all MTR lines, Light Rail and MTR Buses) on the same day using the same Octopus Card. The 10% discount will be automatically given and deducted on the second trip and rounded up to the next 10 cents. Interestingly, this special “10% Same-Day Second Trip Discount” Promotion can be used and enjoyed with other promotions (e.g. the Fare Saver). The Interchange journeys at Tsim Sha Tsui Station and East Tsim Sha Tsui Station will be treated as two separate eligible trips.
MTR Train
The “10% Same-Day Second Trip Discount” Promotion is valid on every day of the week and last until June 30th, 2013. Rides on the East Rail Line First Class Premium, Airport Express and MTR Feeder Buses are excluded from this promotion.
