Hong Kong’s MTR Corporation launched a special “50% off to Shenzhen” Promotion. From March 1 to July 1, 2014 passengers who travel from any station of MTR’s Island line or Hong Kong Station to Lok Ma Chau Station can enjoy a 50% discount on the standard train fare. Unfortunately, the 50% discount offer does not apply to the First Class compartments of the MTR East Rail Line.
All types of Octopus Cards are eligible to participate at this special MTR discount offer. In order to participate and enjoy this special MTR “50% off to Shenzhen” Promotion, all you need to do is simple present your Octopus Card at the Customer Service Centre before entering the gate. The discount will be given when you exit the gates at the Lok Ma Chau station.

Please note: this offer is only valid from the following MTR stations to Lok Ma Chau: Sheung Wan, Central, Admiralty, Wan Chai, Causeway Bay, Tin Hau, Fortress Hill, North Point, Quarry Bay, Tai Koo, Sai Wan Ho, Shau Kei Wan, Heng Fa Cheun, Chai Wan and Hong Kong station.
Last but not least, this offer is not applicable to interchange journeys at Tsim Sha Tsui or East Tsim Sha Tsui station. The discounted ride will be cancelled upon exit from these stations as well as if journeys others to Lok Ma Chau are made.
