Ocean Park hosts throughout the year several events such as the Ocean Park Animal Month in High Definition. Other special events are the Ocean Park Summer Splash, Ocean Park Halloween Bash, Ocean Park Christmas and Ocean Par Chinese New Year celebrations.
The Ocean Park Animal Month in High Definition varies every year and Ocean Park Fans already marked down this special event in their calendars. Last year’s Ocean Park Animal Month in High Definition event focused on the recent opening of Ocean Park’s flagship theme Aqua City and visitors could enjoy the new aquarium plus many events and shows with their favorite animal ambassadors.
This year’s Ocean Park Animal Month in High Definition focuses on Ocean Park’s latest additions Le Le and Hu Hu and takes place from April 3rd till May 6th, 2012. In case you are wondering who Le Le and Hu Hu are: these two female young monkeys from Sichuan are the new stars of the Hong Kong Jockey Club Sichuan Treasures attraction. These cute little monkeys with their golden, orange fur and blue face are endangered and you definitely should have a look when you visit Ocean Park. Insider tip: Make sure to check the feeding schedule to enjoy Le Le and Hu Hu.
In close vicinity of the Hong Kong Jockey Club Sichuan Treasures attraction you will find the other stars and celebrities of Ocean Park: the giant pandas An An and Jia Jia. Make sure to follow Ocean Park’s National Treasure Trail during Ocean Park Animal Month in High Definition event. The National Treasure Trail will lead you to the giant pandas, red pandas, Chinese alligators, Chinese salamanders, the newly added golden monkeys and many more. Along the National Treasure Trail you can collect stamps at each stop. These stamps have a special QR code which will provide you some additional information about them.
Another attraction is the Monkey King’s Cave of Mystery. The Monkey King is one of the famous characters of one of the Chinese literature masterpieces called “Journey to the West”. The Monkey King’s Cave of Mystery reminiscence this Chinese literature masterpiece and you can listen and enjoy Monkey King telling you his story.
Last but not least, Ocean Park Animal Month in High Definition has several other themed activities including Monkey madness (energetic parkour performance), Masters of the Mask (face-changing show) as well as photo-taking sessions with Ocean Park’s most favorite mascots.
