On October 18, 2013 the new Kai Tak Cruise Terminal opened its rooftop park to the public. The rooftop park is located on the third floor and features a central lawn, a viewing platform, water garden and fountain plaza on over 23,000 square meters on top of the newly build Kai Tak Cruise Terminal. The rooftop park is open daily from 7am to 11pm.

The rooftop garden is a nice alternative to catch some fresh air and enjoy some spectacular views of Victoria Harbour and Hong Kong’s skyline. Since the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal isn’t fully operating at the moment interested visitor should be aware that there aren’t any shops and restaurants at present. The commercial area as well as the connecting public colonnade on the second floor is scheduled to open to the public in the beginning of 2014.

In addition, transportation to and from the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal is a little bit inconvenient as well. Aside from taking a taxi to the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, the only way to get there is to take the Green Mini Bus 86 or KMB Bus 5R on Sundays and Public Holidays.
