The popular and most famous funicular Peak Tram will stop its service from 12th to 16th of March, 2012. The closure is part of The Peak Tram’s pledge to provide a safe and reliable transportation for all passengers. General maintenance work will be performed which will include the replacement of driving system components. Please note that the maintenance work can change and is subject to weather conditions.

The Peak Tower, Sky Terrace 428 and other attractions including Madame Tussauds remain open during the suspension and maintenance days.

Visitors are able to use the following alternative public transportation to reach the Peak:

1.) New World First Bus Route No. 15 between Central Ferry Piers and The Peak (a temporary bus stop will be added at the Garden Road Peak Tram Lower Terminus)

2.) Green Mini Bus No. 1 (Central-The Peak). Please note: There will be additional Green Mini Buses since the capacity is rather small (just 16 seats in a bus). The Green Mini Bus departs at the Hong Kong Station (Light Bus Terminus, just right underneath the IFC Two Tower).
