Hong Kong is one of the most fascinating cities of our world. Even though I have lived in several continents, countries and cities, I always think she is an exciting city for many reasons and delights travelers from all over the world.

Similar to New York or the other well-known metropolitan cities, Hong Kong can be considered as melting pot and meeting point of different cultures and people. Not for nothing is Hong Kong often referred to as the gateway or the hub to Asia and remains one of the most travel places within Asia.

Travelers visiting Hong Kong will find themselves trapped between modernity, tradition, glittering skyscrapers and traditional temples. Experiencing events such as dragon boat races, moon cakes, karaoke bars, or just some Dim Sum in an old fashion Hong Kong style restaurant are just a few things tourists and visitors may encounter. The mix of colonial past paired with the Chinese energy and the recent economic uprising of China makes her even more exciting for tourists to discover this extraordinary city and Chinese culture – and be it just for a few days as a stop-over destination.

The idea behind the “Next Stop Hong Kong” project is to provide travelers, visitors, students or newly arriving ex-pats an introduction to this fascinating and dazzling Asian city. Although “Next Stop Hong Kong” will provide a huge load of information and impressions, its main target will not be to replace the old fashion travel books.
