MTR “Kids can Travel for Free” Promotion

In order to compensate for the fare increase from June 17, 2012 the MTR Corporation launched the next round to enjoy some savings and discounts.

This round, children aged from 3 to 11 using a Child Octopus Card can enjoy unlimited free rides on the MTR, Light Rail and MTR Bus. The unlimited free rides are only available on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays starting from July 28th to December 30th, 2012.

MTR Kids Free Ride Promotion

Please note that passengers need to validate their Octopus card as usual and need to maintain a positive remaining value before the travel. In addition, this special MTR “Kids can Travel for Free” Promotion does not apply to the East Rail Line’s First Class Premium fare. In case you would like to enjoy the East Rail Line’s First Class service must pay the normal First Class Premium. Last but not least, there are several restrictions that apply (e.g. that you cannot used this offer in conjunction with another one, etc.).
