What is the Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival ?
The 2018 Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival is a mixture of world-class food, great wines (and other gourmet drinks), tasting classes, live music and entertainment performances. The annual event marks its 10th edition this year. So, no matter if you are a foodie or wine lover, it is a must-try event. Besides, you will have chances to try some expensive sake or wine which you haven’t bought because you are not sure whether you gonna like them or not.
Hong Kong is also known as Asia’s culinary capital, food paradise and wine hub. This is undoubtedly one of Hong Kong’s premier culinary festival events. Last year’s event attracted around 150,000 visitors.
This year there will be over 450 booths featuring delicious culinary highlights from around the world. Where else could you enjoy a fine single malt whisky, luxury Japanese sake or top-rated French and Italian wines while enjoying the stunning Victoria Harbour skyline as a backdrop?

There are also German Riesling, Italian Moscato, the hottest new Chardonnay from Australia and New Zealand as well as the trendiest Zinfandel from Napa Valley available. Explore highly rated and recommended bottles of wine by international wine critics such as Robert Parker and James Suckling. Discover limited and special edition of small wineries from around the world, fizzy cocktails and bubbly champagne in the Bubbly Wine Zone. Another highlight of the wine pavilions is that you can get insights and tasting tips from top-notch sommeliers.
Craft Beer & Whisky
As a beer lover you don’t need to surrender to your thirst. There are plenty of local and international craft breweries there. You are able to find locally brewed craft beers as highly acclaimed award winning international ones.
The booth of Japanese brewery of Hitachino Nest Beer was one of the hottest ones last year. In addition, you could sample (craft) beers from Little Creatures Brewery to big international brewers of San Miguel.
Japanese Wine
If you are a big fan of Japanese products, then make sure to take a closer look at the Japanese wine section. You can find everything here from fruit wines, traditional sake, junmai, ginjō to whisky or sparkling sake.
Coffee Fiesta
How about Latté Macchiato, Cappuccino, Espresso, Caffè Mocha or other coffee drinks as well as the coffee culture? Want to know more about how to create the best Flat White? Last year, the Finnish Design House Marimekko showcased and offered their latest products here last year. Another advantage is that you can start right away and sample the wine, craft beer or whisky you always wanted to try. No need to stand in-line waiting to purchase tokens.

How to get to the Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival 2018
The best way to get to the festival event is by MTR. The festival’s entrance is in Admiralty (near the Tamar Park). It’s a 10 minutes walk from the MTR Admiralty Station (Exit A). Alternatively, you also can walk from the MTR Central Station (Exit A) and use the entrance next to the Central Star Ferry Pier. However, this takes a little bit longer (Roughly 20 minutes walk).
