To celebrate the arrival of year 2025, Hong Kong Tourism Board will hold once again the New Year’s Eve Countdown Fireworks and usher in 2025 with a big bang.

The annual fireworks display is the most popular event among the New Year’s Eve celebrations. Hong Kong’s fireworks display is one of the best in the world. Not only because it has Victoria Harbour’s stunning night view as the backdrop, but also you can enjoy the fireworks in very close vicinity and feel the fireworks bursting right over your head with a bang.

When is the fireworks display 2025 and what to expect?

As usual, 2025 New Year’s Eve fireworks display will take place from the last second of December 31st, 2025 till January 1st, 2025. The sky over Victoria Harbour will be completely brightened by the 12-minute fireworks (longest so far). It will span over 1.3-kilometer on Victoria Harbour, from Central to North Point.

The countdown starts 60 seconds before midnight. Sharp at 00:00am (midnight), thousands of pyrotechnic shells will be discharged in the night sky from the barges floating in the middle of the harbour in front of Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Don’t forget that starting from 11:00pm onward, every 15 minutes there will be a mini fireworks shooting on the roof of 3 high-rises. The four colors (red, green, gold and silver) of fireworks represent sweetness, happiness, fortune and healthy respectively.

Many local singers will give their best performance at the countdown party. The popular group Crash Adams from Toronto Canada are also invited to make their first appearance in Hong Kong.
