Ocean Park Halloween Fest 2024: Trick-or-treating with ferocious ghouls on the haunted land

The much anticipated 2024 Ocean Park Halloween Fest is coming back. If you are looking for the best places to celebrate Halloween in Hong Kong, then you should take a closer look. As one of Asia’s largest Halloween celebrations, this year, Ocean Park Hong Kong has prepared 6 scary programme and shows, kids’ favourite trick-or-treat candy stalls, various Halloween-themed food as well as pumpkin theme all around. The park turns to a haunted land after dark. Special ticket promotion is available till the beginning of November 2024.

When does the Ocean Park Halloween Fest 2024 start?

The Ocean Park Halloween Fest 2024 lasts altogether almost two months, starting from September 7 to November 3, 2024. The festivities consist of day and night events. On the selected days (mostly on Friday to Sunday), you can experience the fun after dark (till 11:00pm). If you are a fan of spooky activities, plan your time and enjoy the night fun festivities on the following selected dates: October 11-13, 18-20, 25-27, 31 and November 1-3..

The theme park usually opens from 10:00am to 7:00pm. The opening hours will extend to 11:00pm on the selected Halloween Days. The nighttime Halloween programmes start after 5:00pm.

How much is entrance and Where to buy tickets for the Ocean Park Halloween Fest 2024

Ticket Prices for Ocean Park Halloween Fest 2024:

During the Ocean Park Halloween Fest, two different ticket types are available : Normal Admission Ticket and Halloween Combo Ticket. Promotion period lasts till November 3, 2024.

• Price of Standard Admission Ticket during Halloween Fest

  The official price of Ocean Park is usually HK$ 498. However, during the Halloween Fest period, Ocean Park offer a promotion price for the normal adult admission ticket for HK$ 428 (while the 3 to 11 year old child ticket is priced at HK$ 239).

  This includes a full-day and night access to most of the park’s attractions (except designated Halloween Fest attractions). So if you have time to visit during the Halloween period, it is a great deal.

• Price of Halloween Combo Ticket for selected attractions

  There are two Halloween Combo Tickets (Walled Trio Combo Ticket and Ghostly Trio Combo Ticket). Each combo allows the access of three selected Halloween Fest attraction (once each only).

  The combo ticket price is HK$ 280 for adults and HK$ 238 for kids. The price doesn’t include the park’s admission.

  Besides the two normal combo tickets, there are also two Halloween Fest Ocean FasTrack Passes available. The standard FasTrack Pass entitles for 7 priority access, while the Pro FasTrack Pass provides priority to all designated rides and attractions. The standard Halloween FasTrack Pass is available for HK$ 380 (adult/child) and the Halloween Pro FasTrack Pass for HK$ 620 (adult/child).

Where to get discount tickets for Ocean Park?

Visiting a theme park can be quite expensive, especially when you travel with a big family. Despite the expensive entrance fee, there are always ways to get some extra discounts or combo tickets with coupons. Here are the available promotion tickets.

There are two Halloween Combo Tickets:
Walled Trio Ticket includes the access to Dreadful Walled City, Hotel Morte and Horror of Homestead;
Ghostly Trio Ticket includes the access to Netherworld Wedding, Prison Escape and Forbidden Zone 724.

Ocean Park Halloween Fest 2024 – daytime and nighttime highlights

In fact, Ocean Park Hong Kong celebrates every year’s Halloween with many innovative and themed attractions. The annual Ocean Park Halloween Fest has been one of the best places to celebrate this western festival in town.

It has been very popular not only among young adults. Some even would argue it is epic and legendary. It certainly becomes an institution itself in recent years. Especially, since the park had several collaborations with horror movie makers and directors in the past, which raised the whole level of scariness and overall concept of Halloween.

Daytime themes of Ocean Park Halloween Fest 2024

Even if you don’t consider yourself brave enough for the extreme scary theme, this year’s Halloween Fest still has something for you.

• Trick or Treats Party

  Enjoy the family-friendly Trick and Treats Party. Play and solve interactive mini games and win some candies. Highlight is the Candy Piñata Party where you can challenge the devil to get some candies.

  The Waterfront is decorated with here-and-there pumpkins. Don’t miss the chance to have a photo with the Jack O’Lanterns.

Nighttime highlights of the Ocean Park Halloween Fest 2024

For many adults, the highlight of the Halloween Fest 2024 are the scary zones and shows. This year, the theme park arranged six haunted attractions.

• Dreadful Walled City

  Located in Applause Pavilion, the demolished Walled City reappears again. Surrounded by restless tenants, vengeful souls and ghosts waiting behind every corner, you need to find your way out through the creepy city.

  Visitors are locked up with dangerous criminals and inmates and need to find a way out from the haunted infamous high-security prison in Applause Pavilion. Try to break free or you will be the next missing inmate.

  Be careful when you attend and celebrate the newlyweds at the wedding of a wealthy landowner. Whispers have it that guests and the landowners family have been wiped out by rivals. Find your way to escape or you will become the playmates of the deceased children.

  A massacre is taking place during the grand masquerade at the re-opening celebration of a classic hotel. Try to safe your life from the sinister clown assassins and escape their leader.
