Food and gourmet lovers are you ready for the 25th edition of Hong Kong’s Food Expo 2014? Between August 14 to 18, 2014, Hong Kong’s Convention and Exhibition Centre will transform into a food heaven again.

Since Hong Kong is known as the Culinary Capital of Asia, it is no wonder that Hong Kong also hosts one of the most popular Food Expo in Asia-Pacific. Last year, over 410,000 food lovers and food enthusiasts visited this fair to take a closer look at more than 1,140 exhibitors from over 20 countries (including Australia, Japan, Indonesia, Korea, Mexico, Poland and the Philippines) from around the world.

Similar to previous years, the Hong Kong Food Expo 2014 is divided into three zones. Aside of the Trade Hall (which is not open to the public) there are the Gourmet Zone and Public Hall. In the past, the Gourmet Zone has been the most attractive part of the fair simply due to the fact that everyone can sample global well-known luxury gourmet treats including caviar, premium coffee, wine, truffle and abalones.

To celebrate the 25th edition of Hong Kong’s Food Expo well-known star chefs have been invited to share 25 dishes. Visitors have not only the chance to vote for their favorite dish, but also to meet the chefs and taste the delicacies at the fair.

In addition, there are many special events and activities related with food including cooking demonstration, forum talks and discussions as well as free-giveaways, competition, games and lucky draws.

Aside from the Public Hall and Gourmet Zone there will be the Home Delights Expo this year. Due to the high demand of cooking utensils and electrical appliances in the market, Hong Kong’s Food Expo added an additional fair named the Home Delights Expo. Visitors have the chance to find the latest products and gadgets of household appliances, kitchen appliances, healthcare electronics, home security products as well as household products including bedroom items, beauty and fitness products, kitchen utensils, tableware and bar accessories.

In case you plan to visit the Hong Kong Food Expo 2014, be prepare that it will be crowded and we highly advise to avoid visiting the Food Expo at the last day of the fair since this day will be the most busy and crowded one.
