Jazz and music lovers get ready to groove the night away. The Hong Kong International Jazz Festival 2012 will be held from October 7th to 12th, 2012. Be ready for performances from international renowned musicians from the United States, Australia, Japan, Italy, Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland, Brazil, Serbia, Croatia as well as the young and innovative Jazz generation from Beijing. This year’s lineup includes Butterscotch, Diego Figueiredo Trio, Elaine Amherd Trio, EYOT, Ines Trickovic Sextet, Jacob Karlzon 3, Li Gao Yan Quartet, Luca Ciarla Quartet, Signe Juhl Quartet, The Buzz Bros Band, The Jimmy Cobb, Larry Coryell, Joey DeFrancecso All Star Trio, Time line – Poems de Orchestral Elektronik Jazz and Wouther Hamel.
Hong Kong International Jazz Festival
The Hong Kong International Jazz Festival is one of the most significant international music events of the year. This year’s theme is called “Re-Discovery – Jazz into the future”. Be prepared to encounter innovative, explorative and creative performances of all kinds of Jazz varieties. In addition, visitors have the chance to participate with renowned Jazz musicians in workshops and jam the night away. For all of you who couldn’t secure any tickets there is a free outdoor concert at the Cultural Centre Piazza in Tsim Sha Tsui on October 7th, 2012. The following international Jazz bands will perform from 3:00pm to 7:00pm: the Li Gao Yang Quartet, the Jacob Karlzon Trio, EYOT, and last but not least the Eliane Amherd Trio.
