It is the first time for Hong Kong to have an International Military Tattoo from over 10 countries and regions, which is also a part of celebration for the 15th Anniversary of HKSAR Establishment.

From 22nd -24th of June 2012, the military bands and performing groups from Russia, Turkey, Scotland, Australia, the United States, China as well as Hong Kong will present Hong Kong SAR a very special birthday gift and perform brass music and march in colorful uniforms.

The concert is at 8:00pm from 22nd t0 24th of June at Hong Kong Coliseum. Performance is about 2 hours without intermission. If you are interested, you can purchase tickets at all URBTIX outlets or through their internet booking system (http://www.urbtix.hk). Ticket prices range from HK$ 100- HK$ 300. Half-price tickets are available for full-time students, senior above 60 or people with disabilities.

If you think the price is a little bit too high, there are also two free outdoor performances:
23rd of June, 4:00pm – 5:00pm at Plaza, Sha Tin Town Hall;
24th of June, 4:00pm – 5:00pm at Piazza Area C, Hong Kong Cultural Centre

If the time is not suitable for you, there is also a free chance of Meet-the-Band from 22nd to 24th of June 7:00pm – 7:45pm at Piazza Hong Kong Colisem.

How to Get There:

To Hong Kong Coliseum:
Take MTR to Hung Hom station and exit through Exit D3. Then you already face Hong Kong Colisem.

To Sha Tin Town Hall:
Take MTR to Sha Tin station and go through the New Town Plaza shopping mall. Sha Tin Town Hall is right at the exit of New Town Plaza.

To Hong Kong Cultural Centre:
Take MTR or Star Ferry to Tsim Sha Tsui station or pier. The Hong Kong Cultural Centre is next to the TST Clock Tower.

Insider Tips: It is the 15th Anniversary of Hong Kong SAR Establishment. In the 1st of July 1997, Hong Kong officially ended it’s colony under Britain and handed over back to China. In order to celebrate this special day, Hong Kong prepares over 300 celebrating activities, such as Fireworks Display on Victoria Harbour, Dragon Boat Races.
