Located in one of the busiest districts in Hong Kong in Causeway Bay you find the Hooray Bar and Restaurant. If you already liked the Harlan’s Bar and Restaurant there is a high chance that you will like the Hooray bar due to the fact that both bars and restaurants are owned by the same company. The Hooray Bar and Restaurant is located at the fifth level of the World Trade Centre and has a massive rooftop alfresco terrace overlooking the Victoria Harbor. It is even claimed to have the (!) biggest alfresco terrace in Hong Kong. So if you are a fan of sitting outdoor…this is the place to be.

The view can only be described as spectacular. Simply grab one of their signature cocktails and celebrate the end of a hard day or stress and hectic week at this prime location right in the middle of Causeway Bay. Sipping at nice glass of wine, feeling the warm breeze while enjoying the atmosphere of the glittering skyscrapers lining up at both sides of the harbor can be considered only as payless.

The design interior of the Hooray Bar and Restaurant is held in a modern, but clean way. Still making guests feel welcome and defining a new way of coolness paired with coziness. The restaurant part serves a combination of Italian and Japanese cuisine. In addition, the Hooray Bar and Restaurant is one of the places where you grab jet-fresh oysters from around the world. Ramen, oden, robatayaki or okonomiyaki are prepared right on the spot and worthwhile to try. The main course list is extensive and range from prices in a similar range of the Harlan’s restaurant. For wine lovers: there is a good variety of wines and prices for a glass of wine range between HK$ 108–118. If you prefer rather a beer than a glass of wine you should calculate between HK$ 65–85. Similar to the Harlan’s, the Hooray has also a wide selection of vodka, whisky, gin and other alcoholic beverages.

A little side warning: The food and service is sometimes a mixed bag of feelings. Depending on the time of the day as well as the mood of the waiters you can have a great dining and food experience or feel disappointed and raise the question why this place is “hyped” and overestimated. Basically, we recommend you to enjoy the impressive views with a good glass of wine or one of their signature cocktails or if you are a fan of afternoon high-tea to enjoy a good teatime there.
