Hong Kong’s popular Ngong Ping 360 Cable Car Ride will be suspended for about three weeks starting from September 2, 2013.

After several incidents in previous years, the Ngong Ping 360 management decided to take a proactive approach and take precautious measures. Ngong Ping 360 has added two additional maintenance programs to their regular maintenance schedule this year. The first added additional maintenance program took place in March 2013 and involved the replacement of the system’s haul ropes. Ngong Ping 360 had to shut down its service for about a week.
