Similar to the previous years, this year’s ticket set features the artwork of two famous artists from the East and West with two designs and portray different versions of rats.

The Western part of the MTR Year of the Rat Souvenir Ticket Set is designed by Italian contemporary illustrator Giula Pintus. It features a smart cute little rat in a contemporary western style.

The Eastern part features an artwork from famous drawing of the Xuande Emperor from the Ming Dynasty. In China, the rat represents good luck and intelligence. On the MTR ticket you can see the rat eating a red lychee which implies good fortune and prosperity for the upcoming year.
