“Year of the Horse” Limited Edition Octopus Card 2014

The Octopus Company will continue its tradition and will release an exclusively Limited Edition “Year of the Horse” Octopus Card Set (for all who are not familiar with the Hong Kong Octopus Card please read our related article about this one-of-a-kind Value-stored smartcard) for the Chinese New Year 2014 celebration.

“The Year of the Horse Limited Edition Octopus Card Set” is the latest series of the Chinese zodiac theme. Each set will feature two unique designs showcasing traditional Chinese art, is numbered and limited to 2,000 pieces. As the name of the limited edition “Year of the Horse” Octopus card already indicate, each Octopus Card will feature a horse using joyful and festive colors as the centerpiece of each card and showcasing tradition Chinese artworks.

Each “The Year of the Horse Limited Edition Octopus Card Set” will be available for HK$ 288 from January 15th, 2014 and can be purchased at 7-Eleven convenience stores in MTR Stations. In case you interested to purchase one of these limited edition Octopus card sets, we recommend acting fast since last year’s “Year of the Snake” Octopus Card sets sold out literally within minutes.

Please note: like previous years, this special “The Year of the Horse Limited Edition Octopus Card Set” won’t come with initial or stored value and are only available as the Adult Octopus Card.
