Hong Kong’s MTR Corporation will launch free Wi-Fi at every MTR Stations starting from July 8th, 2013. At present only 14 MTR stations have been equipped with three computers in iCentres for passengers surfing internets. This will change from July 8th, 2013 onwards. MTR passengers can connect to the internet with their smartphone, tablet or computer in the paid area – no matter which station they are.

In order to enjoy the free Wi-Fi, all you need to do is to simply look for the sign “MTR Free Wi-Fi Hotspots” (in orange color) and connect to the “MTR Free Wi-Fi” network with your device. Each customer can enjoy 15 minutes of free internet access per session with a maximum of 5 sessions for each smart phone, tablet or computer per day. Unfortunately, the free Wi-Fi isn’t available on the platforms or trains, yet.
