Hello Kitty Le Petit Café Opens in Hong Kong SOGO

Hong Kong’s first Hello Kitty Le Petit Café has been opening at the Japanese Department Store SOGO in Causeway Bay on December 7, 2013.

Hong Kong’s Hello Kitty fans have been waiting for a long time for a special themed Hello Kitty restaurant and café, In the past there has been in a cooperate between Sanrio and Hong Kong’s restaurant chain Maxim (in the late 1999s) which led to three Hello Kitty themed restaurants, but the cooperation didn’t last to long and all three restaurants have been shut down. Hello Kitty fans had to travel to Taiwan, South Korea or Japan to enjoy their favorite cartoon cat in a themed restaurant and/or café atmosphere.

Celebrating Hello Kitty’s 40th anniversary (for additional promotions for Hello Kitty’s 40th Anniversary in Hong Kong please refer to our 7-Eleven article ) seemed reason enough to open the stylish little Hello Kitty Le Petit Café at popular Japanese Department Store SOGO in Causeway Bay. Typical for Hong Kong, the Hello Kitty café is rather small and designed with a wooden interior. Hello Kitty fans can enjoy special designed Hello Kitty macarons, cookies, cakes and of course coffees in the Hello Kitty Le Petit Café.
