Macau Ferry Operators Turbojet and Cotaijet Increases Ticket Fares 2014

It is actually a bad news for all the travellers travelling between Hong Kong and Macau, because both Macau Ferry Operators announced to increase their ticket fares from October 8th, 2014 onwards.

Turbojet will increase its Economy Class tickets from Hong Kong (Macau Ferry Terminal) to HK$ 164 on weekdays and HK$ 180 on weekends. The night sailing will increase to HK$ 201. Single economy tickets from Macau will be adjusted to HK$ 152 (weekdays), HK$ 168 (weekends) and HK$ 189 (night service).

Cotaijet

Turbojets Super Class Class tickets from Hong Kong (Macau Ferry Terminal) are increasing to HK$ 297 on weekdays and HK$ 314 on weekends. The night sailing will increase to HK$ 331. Single Super Class tickets from Macau will be adjusted to HK$ 285 (weekdays), HK$ 302 (weekends) and HK$ 319 (night service).

Turbojets VIP Class tickets are now ranged between HK$ 2,151 and HK$ 2,852 from Hong Kong to Macau. Traveling back from Macau tickets are priced between HK$ 2,107 and HK$ 2,808.

At the same time Turbojets competitor Cotaijet also announced an increase in their ticket fares:

Taking the Economy Class with Cotaijet from Hong Kong to Macau will cost you HK$ 165 on weekdays, HK$ 177 on weekends and HK$ 201 for the night sailing. Traveling from Macau to Hong Kong, Economy tickets are priced at MOP 154 (weekdays), MOP 167 (weekends) and MOP 190 (night service).

Cotaijet’s First Class tickets from Hong Kong to Macau are now priced at HK$ 225 (weekdays), HK$ 239 (weekends) and HK$ 264 (night sailing). Returning single tickets from Macau to Hong Kong increase to MOP 214 (weekdays), MOP 228 (weekends) and MOP 252 (night sailings).

Cotaijet’s VIP Class tickets are now ranged between HK$ 1,807 and HK$ 2,113 from Hong Kong to Macau. Traveling back from Macau tickets are priced between MOP 1,717 and MOP 2,023.

Update: Effective from November 30th, 2014 Turbojet announced another fare adjustment.

This time the main adjustment hits Turbojet’s Super Class travellers. Prices will increase another time for an approx. HK$ 30. Turbojets Super Class Class tickets from Hong Kong (Macau Ferry Terminal) are now increasing to HK$ 326 on weekdays and HK$ 348 on weekends. The night sailing will increase to HK$ 369. Single Super Class tickets from Macau will be adjusted to HK$ 315 (weekdays), HK$ 337 (weekends) and HK$ 358 (night service).

Interestingly, Turbojet announced also to adjust their Economy class tickets and lowered the ticket prices for a few Hong Kong Dollars from HK to Macau to HK$ 177 (weekend) and HK$ 200 (night sailing) as well as the returning single ticket from Macau to HK to HK$ 166 (weekends).
